Welcome to the Hackney Kumon Study Centre.
Hackney Kumon Study Centre has been established since March 1999. Maths and English programmes are offered at this centre.
Our centre has a unique approach to developing a child's ability. This unique approach is where a child learns how to develop independent study skills.
When a child learns how to learn, the child becomes a confident, independent self-learner. This is a life skill. The child's progress is driven by the child's potential and goals.
Learning how to learn uses tools which are the proven Kumon math and English programmes.
With these programmes the child will:
• work at their pace tailored to their needs
• develop good study skills and concentration
• establish the right mind set to succeed
Learning how to study independently is a long-term project. It takes several years to develop. It requires the highest level of commitment from the child, parent and the Instructor, and a good close working relationship between the three.
Hackney Kumon Study Centre is on St. Marks Church's grounds. The church is located between Ridley Market and Sandringham Road, E8. The church has a free car park for a small number of cars. The entrance to the community hall is from Colvestone Crescent gate.
