Welcome to the Monkspath Kumon study centre, which provides maths and English programmes for students of all ages and abilities. Many of our students attend schools within the area and live in the local community conveniently located at the heart of Monkspath, the centre is situated at Shelly Farm Community centre, and has been open since October 2004.

The centre provides both a classroom and a room for parents to wait while their children attend the class. Parking facilities are available at the centre.

At present, our students range from 4-16 years old. Most of them have been with us since we first opened and are all making excellent progress.

With Kumon study your child will:

  • work at a pace that is tailored to their individual needs
  • develop invaluable study skills and concentration
  • establish a positive attitude to study

Kumon's long-term focus provides children with the self-assurance and the transferable self-learning skills to realise their potential throughout school and life.

Enrolment procedure

If you would like to explore further whether Kumon is right for you as a family, please contact us to book an enrolment session. This is a meeting between the parent, child and Instructor to clarify our individual roles within Kumon and to find out where on the programme your child would start if they did enroll. At the session your child will be asked to sit a diagnostic test which is designed to show what they currently find easy. This test is not a "pass or fail" exam but a piece of work aimed at diagnosing your child's current ability.
