The thing I love the most about my role as Area Manager is the constant learning that goes on; from development of instructional understanding, through worksheet knowledge and working with a diverse array of Instructors there is always something new to learn within Kumon.

 
Prior to joining the Manchester team I worked in corporate training, as a part-time private tutor, as well as being self-employed but I have found that Kumon has blended all of these backgrounds perfectly, combining my interest in education with my business knowledge and my desire to work with people in an advisory and developmental capacity.

 
Kumon allows for great personal development, the opportunity to work and travel across the region, and share in a desire for learning. Most importantly it also allows you to see, first-hand, the impact that an individualised maths and English educational programme can have on children as young as three years old all the way through to secondary school students.

 
Within three years I have had the opportunity to work on varied additional projects and initiatives as well as concentrate on my main role of helping grow and develop new and existing study centres. I have been able to forge successful professional relationships with franchisees and Kumon staff as well as run a local study centre where I have worked with Kumon students directly. One of the key events that sticks in my mind is having the privilege of attending a National Higher Level Student Awards ceremony last year and seeing the fantastic achievements of many high flying Kumon students being rewarded; seeing the pride of their parents and Instructors alike translated into rapturous applause in an already packed auditorium.

 
I am sure if you are successful in becoming an Area Manager at Kumon Educational the rewards will be similarly inspirational.
