About this centre

The Kumon Kingston North Study Centre was established in 2002 and provides supplementary maths and English programmes. The students at the centre range from pre-schoolers to secondary school students. We welcome children of all ages and abilities, whether they require further support to succeed academically, or are seeking an additional challenge so they can fulfil their potential.

Overseen by the Instructor, Sam, six assistants support the students' development. The team includes bright, committed students and graduates, all with excellent experience. One staff member is in charge of early learners and newly enrolled students, providing one-to-one support in developing children's pencil skills, posture, momentum and stamina, and providing a sound foundation at the start of their Kumon journey.

The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study. Through daily study, both at the study centre and independently at home, Kumon goes further than traditional methods of tuition by ensuring students maintain a level of development every day.

Please note: Saturday classes are held at Grey Court School, Ham Street, Richmond TW10 7HN. We have a waiting area for parents and on-site parking.

My name is Sam Roff and I have been the Instructor at the Kingston North Study Centre since March 2014.

My experience of working as a teaching assistant and an IT technician at schools led me to seek out Kumon as an opportunity to combine my skills by developing children's maths and English skills. I had heard favourable reviews of the Kumon programmes from family and friends who had students enrolled and was very proud to become an Instructor for such a prestigious brand.

Guiding my students through their studies and watching them grow in understanding and maturity is of great reward. Seeing their increasing confidence and pride in their work is inspiring, and their individual stories motivate me to provide them each with individualised work to challenge them in just the right way.

Meeting new students and their families is also a pleasure. It is always great fun to perform assessments to discover the strengths of a new student, along with identifying areas to focus on. The positive feedback from my recent parent reviews were extremely encouraging and seeing the children with their well-earned certificates was especially gratifying.

I look forward to welcoming you and your child to Kingston North Study Centre very soon.
