About this centre

The Kumon St Neots and the Eatons Study Centre has been running from the Priory Centre for almost ten years, providing personalised study programmes in maths and English for students of all ages and abilities. Currently children at the centre range from preschool age to 15 years old.

Conveniently located in the heart of St Neots town centre, the study centre is located on the ground floor. The classroom offers a calm and focussed atmosphere for the students to study. The centre holds award ceremonies each year to celebrate the progress and achievements of the students.

At each session assistants are on hand to support the Instructor and the students. The assistants are all highly trained in the Kumon programmes and have learned directly from the Instructor the most effective ways of working to develop an independent and happy Kumon student.

The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.

Similar to other tuition providers the Kumon programmes focus on essential academic skills, but we go one step further by developing a child’s independent study skills, needed for school, university, employment and all other aspects of adult life.

My name is Ola Korwin. Prior to becoming a Kumon Instructor I worked in the education sector.

My role involved supporting children of mixed ability whose first language wasn’t English. By recognising children’s individual needs, I supported them in settling into a new environment, getting familiar with new routines and working on improving their command of the English language, which helped to boost their confidence.

All of my previous roles and experiences have enabled me to understand the importance of independent learning, a concept which is fundamental to the Kumon Method of Learning. Being able to have an individual approach towards each child I taught was my dream.

Becoming a Kumon Instructor allowed me to realise that dream – in my centre each student is treated individually by observation, setting work according to their ability, adjusting instructions and setting short and long-term goals.

I believe Kumon is a great choice for those wanting to develop their child’s ability in maths and English. It also provides answers to many individual learning challenges as well as developing and stretching children to work beyond school level.
I am proud to be a part of the Kumon family.
