The Barrow-in-Furness Kumon study centre opened in June 2006, relocating from Ulverston, to provide maths and English programmes for children of all ages and abilities throughout this area. Kumon's long-term focus provides children with the transferable self-learning skills to equip them for life and help them achieve their potential.

Our students mostly come from the towns of Barrow-in-Furness, Dalton and Ulverston, and the surrounding villages. Some travel once or twice a week from Millom to attend class. We currently have a wide range of students aged from 4 to 16, from new starters to those in their fifth year of study.
Kumon is a partnership between the student, the parent and the instructor. It is very important that any problems, queries, or worries we may have are dealt with promptly. Please do not feel you are bothering me unnecessarily – it is my job to be bothered!
