A warm welcome to the Kumon Battersea Study Centre. We offer maths and English programmes for students of all ages and abilities. Currently our student ages range from 3 to 29. Many of our students live locally and attend schools within the area such as Honeywell, Belleville, Heathbrook, Macaulay, Chesterton, Westbridge, Newton Prep, Shaftesbury Park, Eaton House the Manor, Falconbrook, Wix, Sallesian College and Ernest Bevin.
The classes are held in The BAC which is situated on the 345, 77, 87, 156 and G1 bus routes on Lavender Hill and has a private road (Town Hall Road) on the right hand side of the building to enable car users to park. Parking permits are required between 10am and 6pm. These are obtainable from the box office and are free of charge although space is limited.
We encourage students to become self learners by learning through practice from examples. This is an invaluable skill in many areas. Kumon helps to develop concentration, perseverance and determination and gives students the opportunity to reach their full potential. All students are treated as individuals and after the initial enrolment sessions with diagnostic tests, the programme is tailored to their personal needs and requirements.
Kumon's long-term focus provides children with the self-assurance and the transferable self-learning skills to realise their potential throughout school and life.
The classes operate on a drop in basis, therefore, students may arrive at a convenient time between 3:30 and 6pm. Students need to allow at least 30 minutes per subject to be able to complete their work before the class closing time.
