The centre opened in 2011 and offers both Kumon maths and English study programmes.
Located in the Annunciation Church Hall at the junction of Charminster Road and Richmond Park Avenue, on a main bus route, the centre has a large free car park, with street parking in neighbouring side roads. The ground level centre is easily accessible.
Classes are held in the main hall, which is heated, bright and spacious, offering an ideal educational environment. A large table is dedicated for any early learners requiring initial one-to-one assistance.
The centre is fully compliant with Child Welfare/ Health & Safety requirements and operates a signing in/out policy at reception to ensure the safety of all students. Parents are requested to remain on site when their children attend class.
Kumon is suitable for all ages, from those at pre-school to those at sixth form. The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
The Instructor at the centre, Gerry Stephenson, is currently supported by eight assistants, including three graduates. They help with the smooth running of the class, supporting students and working closely with the youngest children.
Gerry and the team are committed to providing a rewarding, safe and focussed learning environment, in which students can develop their potential and establish independent study skills.
