Welcome to the Bradford, Heaton Kumon centre. The centre supports many students in the local community with their maths and English learning.  Students of all ages attend the centre from our Early Learners right the way through to high school aged children since our opening in October 2007.

 

Kumon aims to bring confidence to children and develop their self learning ability. Children of all abilities thrive in the Kumon centre as each programme is individualised to their needs and they progress a step at a time moving on only after they have understood and mastered a topic.

 

The majority of our students live in the local area and attend local schools.

 

Kumon is a long term programme and students often stay on the programme for a number of years.  Kumon supports your child's learning with the aim of making their secondary school studies easier. Students can study the maths programme or the English programme or they can study both together.

 

Every child who is enrolled on the Kumon programme is assessed with a diagnostic test which determines their start point on the programme. 

 

Following this they move through the programme at their own pace mastering topics as they go along. If a child needs a little extra practice on a topic that's okay, they will have it. In Kumon "practice makes perfect" and students are set work that is on their just right level.

 

Kumon's programmes provide long-term benefits which give students the best chance of succeeding in school and adult life.
