The centre provides maths and English programmes for students of all ages and abilities and is run by experienced Kumon Instructor, Odette Wild.
The study centre is based at The Bramley Centre - the home of the first Bramhall Scout Group. The Bramley Centre stands behind Bramhall Library and Bramhall Health Centre with Bramley Close Car Park next door offering ample free parking spaces.
Most students come from the surrounding areas and ages of students currently at the centre vary between four to 15 years old. They range in ability from those dealing with learning difficulties to the most able students and are supported by a team of assistants in a relaxed atmosphere. Class visits normally last approximately 30 - 45 minutes per subject.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we encourage them to become independent learners who feel confident in their own abilities and able to face unfamiliar work.
