The Kumon Broxbourne Study Centre opened in 2006 and provides individualised maths and English instruction to local students of all ages and abilities. Currently students at the centre range in age from three to 15 years old. Many of our students attend local schools within Broxbourne and the surrounding areas. Several of the students have been studying at the centre since the first day it opened.
The Kumon Broxbourne Study Centre is located within the spacious United Reformed Church Hall. The centre has a large waiting area for parents and a large dedicated car park. The Broxbourne Study Centre is situated in a convenient, accessible venue and aims to provide the very best service for students and their families.
Alongside the main study area, we have a separate mental maths section where students verbally practice number sequencing and different addends. There is an independent reading area that has a wide selection of age appropriate books for students to enjoy. We also have an early learners area where specialist assistants work with new students when they start their Kumon journey. Students are supported in class by a team of assistants who have in-depth knowledge and experience of the Kumon programmes.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we encourage them to become independent learners who feel confident in their own abilities and able to face unfamiliar work.
