"I believe Kumon is the reason why my maths has improved, and without it I wouldn't have achieved an A in my GCSE maths and wouldn't have even attempted A-level!"

The Burgess Hill Kumon Centre opened in August 1999 enabling children in mid-Sussex the opportunity to study Kumon maths. In April 2003 we expanded the subjects on offer to include Kumon English.

World's End Pavilion is situated next to Janes Lane recreation ground and is a 5 minute walk from Wivelsfield railway station. There is a small car park next to the hall and a play area for young children.

Our students come from Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Lindfield, Cuckfield, Hassocks, Hurstpierpoint, Ditchling and other villages in mid-Sussex. They attend local primary and secondary schools from both the state and private sector.

Kumon is suitable for students of all ages. Currently, our youngest student has just had her 4th birthday and our oldest student is 13½. Our longest attending student has been studying Kumon maths for 5½ years. She has made outstanding progress and represented her primary school for maths many times.  Now in Year 7 she has reached GCSE level work.

The Instructor, Amanda Colley, was involved with Kumon before she set up the Burgess Hill centre.  Her two youngest children attended a Kumon centre for 2 years to study maths.  Amanda started to work as their Instructor's assistant.  She saw the benefits of Kumon firsthand and decided to open a centre in Burgess Hill, her children being her first students.  She is proud of the achievements of all her students and has seen many children reach high levels of learning and, perhaps more importantly, become confident in their ability to achieve.
