Welcome to the Burton-on-Trent Kumon Study Centre, which provides maths and English programmes for students of all ages and abilities. The centre first opened in September 2000 and currently supports around 80 students from within the local community and surrounding towns and villages. The Branston Village Hall provides an excellent venue with a large, bright and well maintained room for the students to work in, a separate room for the parents to wait in and a large car park to the rear.

Students of all ages attend the centre from our early learners at pre-school right the way through to A- Level secondary school aged students. Kumon's long-term focus provides children with the confidence and self-learning skills to realise their potential throughout their school years and adult life. Children of all abilities thrive in the Kumon centre as each programme is individualised to their needs and they progress at their own pace, moving on when they have understood and mastered a topic.

Every child who is enrolled on the Kumon programme is assessed using a diagnostic test which determines their easy starting point on the programme. This assessment is usually carried out in the student's own home and I always make sure both parent and child have full understanding of the programme and a study projection.
