Welcome to the Kumon Chiswick Study Centre.
The study centre opened its doors in 1994 and provides maths and English programmes for students of all ages and abilities; currently the youngest students at the centre are three years old and to the oldest are 17 years old.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
Over the years the Kumon Chiswick Study Centre has become an essential part of the community. The majority of our students live within the area and attend local schools. Along with the Instructor, Elsie Nassar, the centre’s team of thirteen trained assistants are on hand to provide guidance to every student where necessary. Though our aim is to encourage independent study as far as possible.
At every visit, students have the opportunity to see the Instructor before they leave, giving them the chance to talk about their progress and goals, and to receive praise for their achievements.
The centre runs from two large rooms at Chiswick Town Hall. The spacious site is large enough to cater very comfortably for all students and there are public parking bays on the surrounding streets.
Unlike the process of a traditional tuition provider, Kumon encourages students to take their learning into their own hands. The role of the Kumon Instructor is to provide guidance, support and encouragement, allowing the student to develop their own independent learning strategies.
