Kumon Colindale is Ofsted registered, and we are able to accept childcare vouchers as a result. For more information on the childcare vouchers we accept, please do contact us via the contact information above.
The centre was established in 2003 and has become an integral part of the local community. We provide maths and English programmes for students of all ages and abilities, and have contributed to helping over 750 local children achieve their potential.
Students can attend the centre up to twice a week on a drop-in basis with classes lasting between 30 - 40 minutes per subject. Parents are welcome to wait during this time.
At present, approximately half of the students in the centre are studying above their school level. Current students are aged between five and 16 years old and a number of them have been attending the centre for a couple of years. The majority of students at the centre live locally and attend schools in the area including Colindale, Hendon, Kingsbury, Queensbury, Burnt Oak, West Hendon, Brent Cross and other neighbouring localities.
Students’ development is supported by our dedicated team of nine trained class assistants who speak various languages including: English, German, Arabic, Somali, Chinese, Punjabi, French and Swahili. All our class assistants are DBS checked; they can be easily recognised by their Kumon uniform and name badges.
Similar to other tuition providers the Kumon programmes focus on essential academic skills, but we go one step further by developing a child’s independent study skills, needed for school, university, employment and all other aspects of adult life.
