The Kumon Dorchester Study Centre, which is opening in February 2016, provides a friendly and supportive environment for students of all ages and abilities. The centre aims to help children fulfil their true potential as learners and develop them into capable individuals, ready to take on new challenges. It aims to offer parents an effective way of supporting their children’s learning at school.
The Dorchester Study Centre is based at The United Church Dorchester. With its central location in the town, the study centre is ideally positioned for families, being directly opposite the Dorchester Library. There are two large Pay and Display car parks opposite the United Church.
During class the Instructor prompts and guides as appropriate, whilst also observing how children respond to the work set in order to adjust future work to suit their needs. Children are also encouraged to use the Number Board Activity table and Reading Area.
In addition to the work done in class, homework is completed on a daily basis and parents will be given regular updates on how their children are progressing.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
