Established in 2012, the centre is located at St Mary’s Church in the heart of old Ealing. Based in the Polygon Centre, the class provides a motivating learning environment for children, with a quiet and calm area for students to complete their work.
The centre caters for students of all ages and abilities, with those at the centre currently ranging from nursery age through to Year 11. The majority of students attend local schools as there are seven primaries within one mile of the centre: Grange, Little Ealing, Mt Carmel, St Saviours, Fielding, Lionel and Green Dragon. Although most of the students come from these primaries because of their proximity, there are also students at the centre from secondary and independent schools in the wider area.
There are ten well-trained assistants from top universities at the centre, who support the student’s development by marking and recording all activity that takes place in the class. The assistants work alongside the Instructor Craig Wigley and the senior assistant who is also fully qualified in delivering the Kumon Method.
The Ealing South Study Centre is located just past Ealing Studios and has car parking available, as well as South Ealing tube and bus routes close by.
The centre was commended in 2014 for delivering outcomes at levels associated with some of the very best centres in the country after just two years of operation and we continue to strive to have one of the highest numbers of advanced students in the London region.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
