Welcome to the Glenrothes Study Centre.
Our study programmes have been carefully designed to develop children's independent study skills, self-belief and positive attitude to learning with the aim of achieving long-term goals and targets.
We offer individualised study programmes in maths and English which involve students in completing a short piece of work every day. Twice a week this work is done at the Kumon class but mostly this work is done at home.
Each individual's starting point is determined by their current study needs and their rate of progress is carefully monitored and adapted as those needs change and develop. We take every opportunity to praise students for their successes and to reward their progress and achievements. This is an important part of each child's development as it adds to their motivation and confidence.
With an emphasis on mental arithmetic, multiplication tables, reading and grammar, together with improved concentration, students are well-equipped to deal effectively and independently with the higher levels of the Kumon programmes and the demands of their schoolwork and future learning.
