The centre provides maths and English study programmes for students of all ages and abilities and has been open since 2002. It is now very much part of the community.
Most students coming to the centre live and attend schools locally, but others travel from as far away as Louth and Market Rasen. It is also possible to study by correspondence. At present, the youngest student at the centre is four and the oldest is 16 years old. Several students have been studying at the centre regularly since it opened.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
Staff at the centre understand that coming into a new class can be a little daunting, which is why the Instructor will be on hand to welcome all new students to their first class and make sure that they are familiar with what happens. Alongside the Instructor are assistants who are there to provide guidance to the students where necessary.
Similar to other tuition providers the Kumon programmes focus on essential academic skills, but we go one step further by developing a child’s independent study skills, needed for school, university, employment and all other aspects of adult life.
