The centre has been operating from Norbury Parish Church Hall since 2004. Class takes place in a large, light and airy hall and includes a special section with small tables and chairs for early learners.
Currently, students at the centre range in age from four to 15 years old, although Kumon caters for all ages and abilities. Some of the students have been studying at the centre since they were small, while others joined at junior or secondary stage. The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
Students are supervised and guided in their studies at class by the Instructor and trained assistants. The ratio of students to assistants is a maximum of three or four to one at any one time.
The Hazel Grove Study Centre benefits from a warm and comfortable waiting area for parents and carers, with tables and activities to entertain younger siblings. There are good toilet facilities and easy access from a large, well-lit, free parking area which is directly adjacent to the centre.
