The Kumon Hove, West Blatchington Study Centre is conveniently located in the centre of Hove. It runs from the friendly, established community venue, The Bishop Hannington Church Hall, which is located on Holmes Avenue.
There are many primary and secondary schools in Hove that are within a five mile radius of the centre. There are many ways of accessing the centre via road, rail and foot! Hove station and Aldrington station are the most local train stations. There are also many bus routes that frequently run either side of the centre and there is also free street parking available for those who drive. The church hall also has a parents waiting area within the premises.
The centre caters for children from as young as two, all the way through to those studying A-levels and beyond.
The Instructor, Dimple Shah, and the assistants oversee students as they attend class and complete their classwork. All staff have been DBS checked.
There is an early learners table separate from the older students, which is supervised by an assistant at all times. There are also Kumon number boards, times table cards, and number cards, which can be used whilst students are waiting for work to be marked. When a student studies the English programme, an assistant will be on hand to hear the student’s oral reading.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
Through daily study, both at the study centre and independently at home, Kumon goes further than traditional methods of tuition by ensuring students maintain a level of development every day.
