The centre provides maths and English programmes for students of all ages and abilities.
It opened in 2000 and students of all ages and abilities are welcomed; at present the youngest student is three years old and the eldest student is 15. The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
Through daily study, both at the study centre and independently at home, Kumon goes further than traditional methods of tuition by ensuring students maintain a level of development every day.
The majority of these students live locally and attend local schools but there are several students who cannot attend classes and so choose to study with the Rushey Mead Study Centre by correspondence and through occasional visits to the class during school holidays.
The spacious site is large enough to cater very comfortably for all students and the extensive car park and friendly waiting area with reading materials for young children, make Kumon visits fun and relaxing for all concerned. Over the years, the Rushey Mead Study Centre has fast become an essential part of the community.
