The Kumon Linlithgow Study Centre opened in 2003, and welcomes students of all ages and abilities from Linlithgow and the surrounding areas.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.”
Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we encourage them to become independent learners who feel confident in their own abilities and are able to face unfamiliar work.
The centre is based in the St Michael’s Kirk Hall, right in the heart of the historic town, and very close to Linlithgow Palace, shops and cafes. There is parking available just outside the hall, and Linlithgow Library is just around the corner.
A receptionist gives a warm welcome to students and families, and parents are welcome to wait in the foyer while their children are in class.
Students attend the centre for approximately half-an-hour per subject up to twice a week, and are supported by a team of highly trained and enthusiastic staff.
The centre fosters a positive, encouraging atmosphere, and focuses on developing excellent study skills as an integral part of the Kumon programmes.
The Instructor and centre staff have a great deal of experience working with pre-school children as well as older learners; current students at the centre range in age from four to 16 years old.
