The centre caters for children of all ages and abilities, from nursery age through to secondary school age, opened its doors in April 2015.
The Kumon Northwich Study Centre is in newly refurbished, single-storey commercial premises, within the Heritage Trust Grade 1 listed site of Winnington Hall. Access is via Solway Road, the service road nearest Barnton Bridge leading to the Winnington Business Centre and TATA.
The centre has a large, light, airy classroom that incorporates area for early learners, independent learners, oral reading, quiet reading, number board activity and assistant marking and recording There is a reception and waiting room for parents and carers, and male, female and disabled toilets.
Free on-site parking is available at the centre, with additional free parking within the grounds of Winnington Hall.
Four class assistants support the Instructor, Amanda Rose, with student development and the smooth and effective running of the centre. All staff are skilled in maths and/or English, with two having first-hand experience of Kumon; one as a Kumon parent and the other as a Kumon student. All staff members are DBS checked.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
Similar to other tuition providers the Kumon programmes focus on essential academic skills, but we go one step further by developing a child’s independent study skills, needed for school, university, employment and all other aspects of adult life.
