The Kumon Norwich Study Centre was established in 1999 and has a great history of developing students of all ages and abilities into independent, advanced learners through the Kumon Method of Learning.
Kumon Norwich’s youngest student so far was two-years-old when she joined, and their most advanced student began to self-learn calculus at the age of 13. Over the years the centre has proudly nurtured many completers of the Kumon Maths and English Programmes.
You will find the study centre split into three unique study zones: early learners, newly enrolled students and independent learners. To nurture the skills required for the key transition to independence, early learners and newly enrolled students receive guided self-study from a member of the Kumon Norwich team. In this way, each child is developed individually, with the programme moulded to each student’s precise needs.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study. Through daily study of the unique Kumon worksheets, your child will strive towards studying above the international standard for their age, enabling them to realise their potential both at school and beyond.
Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we encourage them to become independent learners who feel confident in their own abilities and able to face unfamiliar work.
With Kumon’s long-term focus, your child will be encouraged to take learning into their own hands, increasing their motivation to succeed – inciting an enthusiasm for new topics and challenges.
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the Kumon Norwich Study Centre can be found at the 1st Norwich Sea Scouts Headquarters. On Saturdays, we run from The Hewett Academy.
