Kumon has been in Salisbury for more than 15 years. This centre opened in 2012 and is located at the Stratford Social Club; a newly built facility within easy reach of the city centre whether on foot, by car, by bike or by public transport.
There is plenty of free parking and a very comfortable waiting area for parents, all in a self-contained unit which is for the exclusive use by the Kumon Salisbury Study Centre during class times.
Classes are run in the large function room which is spacious and bright with full accessibility. Inside, the room is set out in shared table format with a dedicated area for early learners who may need extra support or attention to encourage good study habits.
Current students at the study centre are aged between four and 18 years old, but the Kumon programmes are suitable for all ages and abilities. The centre has four assistants who work alongside Andy, the Instructor, to support the students’ development.
Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we encourage them to become independent learners who feel confident in their own abilities and able to face unfamiliar work.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
