The study centre opened in 2011.
The majority of students at the centre attend local schools and range from pre-schoolers to those in secondary school, however the centre welcomes students of all ages and abilities.
Newly enrolled students are closely monitored to ensure they acquire the study skills and self-assurance to go on to become confident, independent learners. As well as the Instructor, the centre has three friendly, approachable assistants who have been trained to support the development of the children studying both the maths and English programmes.
All students at the centre are encouraged to read and often the Instructor or an assistant will listen to children read from a worksheet or recite their multiplication tables. In addition to studying an appropriate amount of work at home on a daily basis, your child will also attend the study centre up to twice a week.
Parents are kept informed about their child’s progress through the regular progress meetings and quarterly newsletters.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
