Welcome to the South Woodford Kumon Centre, situated in the heart of South Woodford, next to the Library and Health Centre. The centre was opened in 1997 and is an important part of the local community. We pride ourselves on making children feel at ease in a friendly atmosphere, our dedicated team of assistants coming from a wide range of backgrounds, the adult assistants all work in local schools and most of our younger assistants are former Kumon students who use their experience to help younger children with their work. Over half of our students are studying work which is above their school level.

At Kumon South Woodford, we have students of all ages and abilities, our youngest being 4 years old whilst our eldest is 18. The flexibility of the Kumon programme means we can do our best to bring out the potential in every student and to help them achieve their parents' aims, whether it is to help a child who is struggling or one who is working towards an important exam.
 

Our students come from all over the area and from every type of school. Many of our new students come to us by recommendation or word of mouth, and we rely on our reputation to continue to help every student. If you decide that you want to enrol your child on either the maths or English programme, I will be pleased to arrange a convenient meeting to carry out an assessment on your child's current ability. I will also then explain about the programme in more detail, including working out a study projection for your child. I feel this meeting is vital in helping you as a parent to understand the commitment you need to make in order to make your child's Kumon studies a success.
