My name is Sanna Butt and I am the Instructor at the Stratford Study Centre. I am also a primary school teacher who has been working with children of all ages for the last six years. I have successfully led after school mathematics and English clubs in order to boost children’s levels and confidence. I have also had the opportunity to tutor pupils privately both in the UK and abroad. In addition to this, I have organised and led numerous workshops for parents and children to demonstrate effective ways to raise achievement in literacy and mathematics. I am committed to raising standards of education and bringing out the best in pupils.
Being a teacher, I know the importance of providing education that will reinforce pupils’ current learning, supporting them to master new concepts and helping them to grow as individuals. I believe that Kumon truly adopts this philosophy and enables children to grow into independent, confident and competent individuals. My inspiration to become an Instructor came from working in a Kumon centre for several years. I gained a deeper understanding of the Kumon ethos, methods and study materials, which enabled me to appreciate the quality of the programmes. Kumon pupils reap the benefits of the individualised programmes and take great ownership of their learning during their Kumon journey. I therefore intend to strengthen pupils’ mathematical, reading and grammatical skills, but most importantly aim to enhance their study skills, so that they become confident life-long learners and prosper throughout life.
I believe that I can make a difference to the community of Stratford. I plan to nurture individuals so that they are well-rounded, enthusiastic and successful. I would like to inspire pupils and encourage them to believe that with perseverance, their dreams can come true. I am most motivated when I see pupils happy, fulfilling their potential and being proud of their achievements. I look forward to forming excellent relationships with families so that we can work in partnership to bring out the best in their child and support them in achieving success.
I look forward to working with you!
