The study centre opened in 2003 and has contributed positively to the lives of hundreds of children. It is now a thriving and important part of the local community.
The centre is based in the St Ann's Library which is easily accessible with local transport and has ample parking in the vicinity. It is in a safe environment with quiet and comfortable surroundings and parents can use the facilities of the library when waiting.
Children of all ages and abilities study maths and English at the centre, and students currently range from four to 17 years old.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study. Both programmes complement the school curriculum.
The centre has a dedicated fully trained team of eight assistants to support and encourage every student to become the well-rounded, confident and capable individual they can be, equipped for life.
Children attend the centre on average for 30-45 minutes, up to twice a week.
