The centre is located at the St. Edmund’s Church Hall which shares premises with St. Edmund’s Primary School and is opposite the Nelson Primary School in Whitton, Twickenham.
The centre provides an enjoyable and friendly learning atmosphere in which students are encouraged to develop their study skills and grow in confidence. It attracts students from the local neighbourhood of Whitton, Twickenham, South-Hounslow, Hanworth and Isleworth, as well as other surrounding areas.
It has a large hall for the children to work in and a separate seating area for parents and siblings. There is free parking in the hall car park and further parking on the main road and side roads.
Within the centre, there is a separate area for the early-learners where they are provided with the necessary support and skills. Newly enrolled students are closely monitored at the pilot-table and in the main-training area, all the students are observed regularly to ensure they are working independently and smoothly.
Staff at the centre undertake regular training to ensure that instruction is up-to-date and of a high standard and we welcome students of all ages and abilities. In the centre, students have been studying for a number of years and, at present, they range in ages from three to 16 years old. A student spends approximately 30 minutes per subject at the centre.
Students working at advanced levels are rewarded for their successes with certificates and medals at award ceremonies. Parent meetings are held twice a year to discuss the child's progress and further study projections. Parents are kept well informed of any activities and news through monthly newsletters.
