The centre provides maths and English study programmes for students of all ages and abilities. It opened its doors to students in 2009 and has been steadily expanding, and now supports a great number of students in excelling their maths and literacy skills.
The centre provides a friendly, relaxed but studious atmosphere; an ideal place for study. It is conveniently located at St Martins Church, just off Sutton Road, and has a waiting area for parents as well as a large car-park. It is easily accessible from all parts of Walsall and Aldridge, with the bus stop only a few yards from the centre.
The centre is run by the Instructor, Bela Mehta, who is supported by five classroom assistants. Students are predominately from the Walsall and Aldridge area, and are currently aged between three and 16 years old. At the centre, all students and staff work closely together, irrespective of their age and ability, which helps each child develop their confidence and independence.
Some students study one of the programmes, but a growing number of students study both subjects. The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
Similar to other tuition providers the Kumon programmes focus on essential academic skills, but we go one step further by developing a child’s independent study skills, needed for school, university, employment and all other aspects of adult life.
