The Kumon Waltham Cross Study Centre opened in 2010, and provides maths and English study programmes for children of all ages and abilities. It is located at Broxbourne Council office in Cheshunt, and has ample free parking available and a waiting area for parents with tea and coffee facilities.
The centre currently supports over 100 students studying across different levels of the Kumon programmes. The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study. Students at the centre range from four to 16-years-old, and attend schools across Waltham Cross, Waltham Abbey, Cheshunt, as well as from nearby towns and villages.
With a minimum of at least six staff members in each class, we ensure a ratio of one assistant to every four students, even at the busiest times. All of the assistants have high levels of expertise in the Kumon programmes.
Through daily study, both at the study centre and independently at home, Kumon goes further than traditional methods of tuition by ensuring students maintain a level of development every day.
Younger students benefit from working at early learner tables, and receive support from dedicated assistants whilst completing their worksheets. They also lead a number of supplementary activities, such as one-to-one oral reading and times table quizzes with the younger children.
