About this centre
The centre has been operating for over 16 years and offers maths and English programmes to students of all ages and abilities, currently from as young as three years old. Students attend many of the local primary and secondary schools in the Wembley, Harlesden, Perivale and Neasden area.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
The centre provides several educational resources: there is a range of books from the Kumon Recommended Reading List at the centre that students can read to complement their worksheet study and there is also a 'mental maths' area which, when used regularly, may significantly enhance students' mental arithmetic.
Regular parent meetings are held during the year in order to discuss students' progress and to share study projections. All new parents are also encouraged to attend a meeting after one month of Kumon study.
The class atmosphere is enjoyed by students and we also provide ways of motivating students through difficult times of study.
Unlike the process of a traditional tuition provider, Kumon encourages students to take their learning into their own hands. The role of the Kumon Instructor is to provide guidance, support and encouragement, allowing the student to develop their own independent learning strategies.
We are also proud of being an Ofsted registered centre, which means that parents can easily apply for significant savings of between 20-70% off our published Kumon fees via tax-free childcare amongst other schemes. For example, this could mean paying £72/subject/month instead of the published £90/subject/month, or even less in some cases.
