Welcome to the Woolwich Kumon study centre, which provides maths and English programmes for students of all ages and abilities. Many of our students attend schools within the area and live in the local community.
The Woolwich centre has been running since 2004 and is a very popular centre. At our centre, we focus on core academic skill and nurture strengths that are key to a child's success throughout their schooling and beyond. In addition, we offer supplementary activities which encourage mental arithmetic and a joy of reading.
The Woolwich centre has two zones: one for the early learners and the other for the older learners. Our youngest student is four years old. We have at least nine trained staff assisting the students at any particular class.
How to enrol
Upon enquiry, the parent and the student are invited to an enrolment session which usually takes place on selected Saturdays at 12pm at the centre (by appointment only). During this enrolment session, a diagnostic test is administered to the student.
After completion of the test, a starting point on the Kumon programme is determined and a presentation given to the family to communicate in depth, what we offer and how we can help the student. If the family is happy to join the Kumon programme, a start date will be agreed, usually a week of the enrolment session.
