The centre has been serving the local community for over five years. It has ample car parking and is located just off the main road. There is a small waiting area which can be used by parents and younger children while the students are studying in a separate quiet environment.
The Marford Community Centre has recently undergone a refurbishment by Wrexham County Borough Council and provides an ideal setting for focussed study in a safe and attractive environment.
There is a range of books at the centre that students can read to complement their worksheet study. Older pupils are also asked to read on a daily basis and are encouraged to provide book reviews to share their favourite stories with other children.
Mental maths activities take place in a dedicated section of the main hall. All children are encouraged to learn timestables and Numberbonds and complete timed activities related to these at every session.
Kumon caters for all ages and abilities, and students at the centre currently range from two years old to 16 years old. The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.
The centre is run by the Instructor Sheena and four other dedicated assistants.
