The Kumon Yeovil Study Centre opened in 2004, offering maths and English study programmes to children of all ages and abilities within the local area.
In 2013 we moved to our lovely, purpose-built study centre in Vincent Street, on the edge of the town centre. This move allowed us to run four classes each week with longer opening hours, to provide greater flexibility. We have a small, quiet waiting area for parents and siblings in our reception. There are plenty of town car parks nearby, including a free one-hour public car park (with its entrance off Market Street).
We invite all new students to an enrolment at the centre and, having determined the appropriate starting point on the maths and/or English programme, we discuss which class days/arrival times will best suit the family and allow appropriate support. Students usually attend class twice a week, with siblings usually attending together.
Alongside the Instructor, we have six assistants who work across various classes. Our assistants come from a variety of backgrounds, including inspiring A-level students.
The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study. Through daily study, both at the study centre and independently at home, Kumon goes further than traditional methods of tuition by ensuring students maintain a level of development every day.
If you would like further information you are welcome to phone, enquire online or pop in to pick up a brochure. The best time to speak directly with the Instructor is during our published office hours.
