About this centre

Ofsted Registered

Kumon Bicester is Ofsted registered and can accept childcare vouchers and working tax credits as payment.

The Kumon maths and English study programmes enable students of all ages and abilities to achieve. The centre currently supports students from three years old to those completing A-levels, and is popular with families throughout Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Our aim is for every child to become an independent, advanced learner, with a positive attitude to study. We also aim to encourage a passion for reading in all of our students, with books available for them to read in class from Kumon’s Recommended Reading List.

Similar to other tuition providers the Kumon programmes focus on essential academic skills, but we go one step further by developing a child’s independent study skills, needed for exams, university, employment and all other aspects of adult life.

The Instructor Louise is supported in class by a team of assistants, recognisable by their Kumon uniform. All have been fully trained so they can help and guide each student to achieve their very best.

Each year the centre, in conjunction with neighbouring centres, holds a formal awards ceremony to celebrate and recognise students’ outstanding achievements. These ceremonies are attended by over 500 students and parents, and are very inspirational and motivational to all.

My name is Louise and I am the Instructor of the Kumon Oxford, Botley Study Centre. I also run the Bicester study centre. I have been an Instructor for 18 years so have vast experience of the Kumon Method and helping students reach their true potential.

Over the years I have nurtured hundreds of local children on the Kumon programmes, many having gone on to achieve places in the top schools and subsequently going onto universities. Seeing these children and having brought our own children through Kumon, we are unreserved in recommending Kumon to nurture confident, resourceful students that can go on to excel in whatever fields they choose.
