About this centre

Enable your children to achieve mastery in maths and English with the help of Kumon Brighton Central Study Centre.

Kumon's unique Maths and English Programmes help children to achieve their true potential by developing their confidence and ability to work independently through individualised, worksheet study.

This, together with the guidance by Instructor Julia Champness-Brooks, and her committed team of assistants, equips students to approach even unfamiliar topics with curiosity and confidence.

Students, who come from across Brighton and the surrounding areas, attend local state and independent schools. They range in age from four to 18 years old, and a significant number have studied with us for more than five years.

Hello, my name is Julia Champness-Brooks and I have been a Kumon Instructor for more than 12 years, and I have an excellent performance in retention of students, high growth in student numbers and nurturing students to advanced levels.

I came across Kumon when looking for supplementary education for my daughter who was at primary school; she struggled with her studies and was placed on the special needs register. I enrolled her onto the Kumon programmes in the summer, and by Christmas she had been removed from the register and was flourishing at school.

Having been told that my child would probably spend her academic life in special needs, I was amazed and thrilled at how quickly the Kumon Method of Learning produced such incredible results. I now feel privileged to have seen so many of my own students excel far beyond the expectations of their age or perceived abilities, and this remains the driving force behind my commitment to the Kumon programmes, and to the children I am fortunate enough to have study with me.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.
