Welcome to the Cardiff, Radyr Study Centre.

We adhere to the unique Kumon values and pursue the potential of each child, developing their ability and nurturing their independence. Following an assessment your child will begin on the selected programmes at an individually set starting point, laying a solid foundation for effective learning. Their progress through the programmes will be tailored to their individual needs, ensuring your child continues to grow and achieve.

Both the Kumon Maths and English Study Programmes are offered at the study centre and are achievable by all students of all ages and abilities. Our aim is for each and every child to become an independent, advanced learner, with a positive attitude to study.

Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we encourage them to become independent learners who feel confident in their own abilities and able to face unfamiliar work.

My introduction to Kumon was through friends of my daughter, I was impressed, not only with their maths and English results but also by their all round study abilities. They all showed a remarkable confidence in tackling new topics, no matter what the subject.

On looking further into the Kumon Method of Learning and philosophy, I became convinced that their impressive study skills were directly related to their time studying at Kumon. In fact, I have become so impressed and convinced that I decided to become a Kumon Instructor and set up my own centre.

I am originally from Melbourne, Australia where I studied science at Melbourne University. I was then introduced to the world of computing through the Shell graduate recruitment programme. I have worked in Australia, the UK and across Europe for different organisations within the IT sector and have often been involved in training within these organisations. In the last ten years I have worked for a company in Cardiff and have, as part of my role, been involved in all staff training and in particular the graduate recruitment and training programme. I relax by playing tennis and more recently have become involved in tennis coaching of young junior players.
