The Crawley, Tilgate Study Centre was established in November 2000.

The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.

We welcome children of all ages and currently have students attending the centre from age three to 18, from all over Crawley and neighbouring villages.

As well as the Instructor, the centre is supported by five well trained assistants who understand the ethos behind the Kumon Method of Learning and give all students the necessary guidance to encourage them to become confident and independent learners.

We pride ourselves in running an exceptional and thriving study centre and we ensure that each child comes away from the centre feeling good about themselves through positive feedback at each session.

Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we encourage them to become independent learners who feel confident in their own abilities and able to face unfamiliar work.

My name is Dalia Carter and I would like to welcome you to the Crawley, Tilgate Study Centre.

Before becoming a Kumon Instructor, I worked in finance. I loved anything to do with numbers, so much so that I also studied to be an accountant. Although I enjoyed working in this field, I needed something that challenged me but also incorporated the things I loved doing such as working with numbers, reading, and seeing children eager to find out and learn about everything around them.

So, I decided to open a Kumon centre in Crawley, Tilgate. I enrolled my own children, not only to help them develop study skills, but to be able to see how they progressed through the worksheets and what skills they needed to prepare them for the subsequent levels.

My centre grew to 100 students within the first year, mainly through recommendations. I have now helped over 1000 children with their maths and English and I feel honoured to have helped so many children gain the confidence to work to an advanced level, sometimes up to three years ahead of their school level.

I am proud to be a Kumon Instructor and I thoroughly enjoy what I do. Please get in touch to find out how I can help your child become the best they can be.
