About this centre

The Kumon Dollis Hill Study Centre has been established since 2003.

The study centre caters for students of all ages and abilities ranging in age from three to 18 years old. Students come from local primary and secondary schools in Dollis Hill, Neasden, Cricklewood and Wembley area. Students benefit from a personal approach at the Dollis Hill study centre, where both Instructor and assistants are keen to meet the needs and support the development of every child.

The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.

In the classroom, students enjoy completing their work and are observed by the Instructor who offers appropriate guidance, support and praise. At each visit, a student will spend 30 - 40 minutes on each subject and up to an hour for both maths and English. Upon leaving the centre, each student is given daily worksheets to be completed at home.

Regular parent meetings are held during the year in order to discuss students' progress and to share study projections. All new parents are also encouraged to attend a meeting after one month of Kumon study.

Welcome, my name is Deepti Sawant and I have been the Instructor at Kumon Dollis Hill Study Centre since March 2010. I am a Software Engineer by qualification.

It all began when I enrolled my daughter, then 3 years old, onto the Kumon programmes with the advice of a friend. Within months I became aware of the superior learning that Kumon offers when I saw my daughter becoming more confident, focussed and independent. It was then that I decided to become a Kumon Instructor and help many other children realise their true potential through the programme. Kumon helped both my children excel and gain places in prestigious high schools of their choice.

I have received an award for nurturing students to completion of the English programme. We work with students of all abilities – some may be struggling in school, while others may need to be challenged. I am extremely proud I have been able to nurture hundreds of local children on the Kumon programmes, many of whom studied with me for several years.

I always keep parents well informed about their child's progress as I believe that they play an important role in their child’s study. Parents are always welcome to contact me outside of class by email or telephone to discuss their child’s progress.

If you would like to enrol, please contact me to book a one-to-one assessment.
