About this centre

For nearly 25 years since its opening in 1993, the Ealing Broadway Study Centre has been offering Kumon programmes for students of all ages and abilities.

The study centre offers three subjects to learn: Maths, English and Kokugo (which is a subject for mother-tongue speakers of Japanese children), with the well-experienced and supportive Instructor and a team of capable assistants. The centre currently supports over 100 students, mostly aged between four and 16 years with different nationalities and cultural backgrounds, with some of them taking dual subjects.

The Ealing Broadway Study Centre has provided an excellent after-school learning venue for thousands of young students to become more confident, focused and self-reliant individuals with solid academic foundations mostly beyond their school years.

There are car parking spaces within the church yard, as well as free on-street parking on the adjoining roads after 4pm.

My name is Sakae Kato.

Students as young as three years old have joined my study centre and developed solid academic foundations and become full of confidence. To witness such young children of little academic foundation gradually gain self-learning skills and become confident and independent individuals is always astonishing to me. I am a firm and passionate believer in the effectiveness of the Kumon Method of Learning.

My role as a Kumon Instructor is to guide and motivate children to develop independent learning skills needed for every stage of their academic life and all aspects of their future adult lives. I always aim to maintain a friendly yet productive and disciplined study centre, aiming to instil in children the desire to achieve more, a love of learning and the motivation to learn independently.

Please do not hesitate to get in contact to find out more about what the Kumon programmes can do for your child.
