About this centre

The Kumon Eastleigh Study Centre opened in 2009. Local students of all ages and abilities attend the study centre, each striving to achieve their full potential in a friendly and supportive environment.

The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.

Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we encourage them to become independent learners who feel confident in their own abilities and able to face unfamiliar work.

The centre has a real community spirit to it, as well as an excellent reputation; many students have studied here for several years.

The Instructor Reena Sekhon, is supported by a team of skilled assistants, most of whom have studied and/or completed the Kumon programmes themselves, meaning not only do they have great knowledge of the programmes, they also know first hand the challenges, demands and great rewards each student will experience throughout their Kumon study.

We look forward to welcoming you to our growing community of bright and ambitious students!

It was whilst working for the School of Education at the University of Southampton that I witnessed the extraordinary impact that a personalised education can have on a child's life chances. It was this commitment to a personalised study programme that initially attracted me to Kumon and to open the Kumon Eastleigh Study Centre.

I am absolutely convinced that children can only reach their true academic potential if they are set work which is individualised according to their specific needs and abilities and which enables them to work at a pace that they are comfortable with.

This approach is at the heart of everything I do at the Eastleigh Study Centre. I want your child to develop into a confident, ambitious and determined young person, ready to make their mark on the world. What better way to begin realising this goal than by transforming your child's numeracy and literacy skills and faith in their own abilities?

The sense of achievement and accomplishment your child will feel will make you very proud! Many of my parents begin to realise that a whole new world of academic opportunities await their children!
