The Kumon Kingsbury Study Centre is run from the grounds of The Village School. The venue is positioned in the heart of the community and children come to the centre from a plethora of local schools such as Roe Green, Kingsbury Green, Fryent Primary, Oliver Goldsmith, as well as from neighbouring areas.

The unique Kumon Maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.

We welcome children from three years old all the way to GCSE age. They always work at the right level to enable them to both maximise their learning and excel at school. The students are supported by a warm, friendly team of assistants.

Through daily study, both at the study centre and independently at home, Kumon goes further than traditional methods of tuition by ensuring students maintain a level of development every day.

Praise and positive feedback works well to bring out the best in students, so we have rewards as a token of appreciation for them. Our success is demonstrated by our completers in maths and English and our high achievers in academia.

Regular communication with parents is maintained through emails, texts and appointment sessions.

My name is Swati Chakraborty, I am your local Kumon Instructor. I hold a master's degree in English Literature and am extremely passionate about instructing students. I believe no other work is as rewarding as witnessing students achieve and excel. I previously worked in schools, and at other Kumon centres before starting my own in 2014.

I feel fortunate to be a Kumon Instructor as the role gives me the opportunity to help children of all abilities advance and reach their goals. It gives me extreme pleasure to witness the light-bulb moment when a child who was previously struggling with a concept gets it through my guidance and their hard work. The best part of being an Instructor is I do not have to let children be tied down by the class - if they are ready they are free to move on in the programme and advance.

I try to instil a passion for reading in my students, as I believe reading not only helps with literature and language skills, but also can help to hone the analytical skills required to solve mathematical problems. This in turn makes for a more independent learner.

You are welcome to call me anytime to discuss the programmes and find out how they can help your child attain, and boost their confidence.
