PURPOSE OF THE JOB
We are seeking a talented SQL BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using SQL Server technologies. This role will involve designing, implementing, and optimizing data models, processes, and reporting solutions to support business needs. The SQL BI Developer will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality BI solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a SQL BI Developer you will:
  • Complete Data Modelling: Design and implement efficient and scalable data models to support BI and reporting requirements.
  • Complete Data Integration: Integrate data from disparate sources into cohesive datasets for analysis and reporting.
  • Work on Report Development: Create visually appealing and insightful reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.
  • Work on Query Optimization: Optimize SQL queries and database performance to ensure fast and efficient data retrieval.
  • Work on Data Analysis: Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decision-making.
  • Work on Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, gather feedback, and ensure BI solutions meet business needs.
  • Work on Documentation: Document data models, ETL processes, and report specifications to ensure clarity and maintainability.
  • Work on Quality Assurance: Conduct testing and validation of BI solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability of data and reports.
  • Work on Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve issues related to data quality, performance, and functionality of BI solutions.
  • Carefully testing and accuracy checking data lists and aggregations - creating UAT parameters and checklists
  • You will be required to attend supervision, training and meetings as and when required. There may be a necessity for these to be outside of normal working times.
