About our centre
Welcome to Kumon Croxley Green Study Centre, a vibrant and supportive learning centre dedicated to helping children of all ages and abilities reach their full potential.
Our centre focuses on developing strong, independent skills in maths and English through an individualised learning approach that enables every student to progress at their own pace. Each child follows a personalised study plan, ensuring they are both challenged and supported throughout their learning journey.
At Kumon Croxley Green Study Centre, we provide a structured and encouraging environment where children build more than academic knowledge. They develop essential life skills such as resilience, concentration, confidence, and the discipline of maintaining a positive daily study routine.
While the programme offers the flexibility of tablet-based home study using digital worksheets and a stylus, weekly attendance at the centre remains a key part of the Kumon method. These regular in-person sessions enable us to monitor each student's progress closely, provide personalised guidance, celebrate achievements, and make any necessary adjustments to their study programme.
Whether your child is looking to strengthen foundational skills, gain confidence in their learning, or explore advanced material beyond their school curriculum, our centre is committed to nurturing their individual potential.
We work closely with parents to create a collaborative and supportive learning experience, ensuring every child receives the guidance they need to become a confident, independent, and lifelong learner.
This study centre is proud to offer KUMON CONNECT. Click here for more details.

About your Instructor
Hello, my name is Pooja, and I am the Instructor at the Kumon Croxley Green Study Centre.
My journey with Kumon is shaped by a unique dual perspective. Before becoming a certified Kumon Instructor, I was a dedicated Kumon parent. Experiencing the program firsthand within my own family gave me invaluable insight into the daily commitment it requires, as well as a deep appreciation of the milestones, challenges, and achievements students experience along the way.
Having been in your position, I understand both the rewards and the responsibilities of supporting a child through their learning journey. This enables me to provide every family with genuine empathy, practical guidance, and unwavering encouragement.
Complementing this personal experience is a strong professional background in education and a longstanding commitment to working with children. Throughout my career, I have focused on fostering academic excellence while helping students develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning. I recognise that every child learns at their own pace, and I am committed to identifying each student's individual strengths and needs so they can reach their full potential.
I firmly believe in Toru Kumon's founding philosophy: to discover the potential of each individual, develop their abilities to the fullest, and nurture capable individuals who can make meaningful contributions to society. This vision guides everything I do at our centre.
By combining my educational expertise with my personal experience as a Kumon parent and my deep belief in the Kumon Method, I strive to create a structured, supportive, and nurturing learning environment where every child can build strong foundations, develop resilience and confidence, and cultivate the skills needed for lifelong success.
Frequently Asked Questions
Both, and every child in between. This is because of our individualised approach to education, which always asks the question: "What is best for this individual child?" Following a diagnostic test, a study plan is set to develop the ability of the child and to progress them beyond the Kumon International Standard (an international approximation of their school level) regardless of their starting point. Kumon welcomes students with special educational needs, gifted and talented children, and all those who believe they can achieve more and fulfil their potential.
Kumon is a self-learning programme with each student receiving regular support from their Instructor. The carefully developed worksheets teach students how to find the answer for themselves, whilst their Instructor offers guidance when necessary. The key role of each Kumon Instructor is to observe their students working, either in the centre or their online class, making sure that work is set at the right level and that they are developing at the right pace.
Kumon offers much more than tutoring and differs from traditional teaching in the classroom. Rather than preparing children for a particular test or assessment, Kumon empowers students to learn for themselves, through individualised instruction and carefully developed worksheets.
As well as developing key skills in maths and English, each Kumon student will work towards building their independent learning skills and confidence in their own abilities. This means that a Kumon student will not be dependent on – or limited by – the skills and knowledge of others.

As a global programme, Kumon does not follow a school curriculum, but rather is complementary to curricula across the world. The primary aim of the Kumon Method is to develop independent learning skills. These independent learning skills enhance the students’ performance right across the school curriculum. Kumon operates at exactly the right level for each student – regardless of their age – ensuring that work set extends and develops their skills, confidence and ability.
