"Kumon study is the best thing I have ever done for my child Rohan. ...learning Kumon over the last 3 years Rohan has been able to think faster and has become more confident in general and progressed very well in maths."
Mrs Haldankar, mother of Rohan (aged 10), Whetstone study centre

About the centre

Class works on a drop-in basis, twice a week on a Monday and a Thursday. Your child will be in the study centre for roughly half an hour per subject. Due to the nature of the class, Kumon asks that you do not leave students or their siblings unattended.  Parents of young children should always remain at the study centre.

Ideally students should attend class twice a week as time in class allows me to monitor your child's progress more closely. New concept work will always be given in class before being assigned as homework. If your child is unable to stay at the centre to complete the class work, their homework may be adjusted accordingly.

Kumon is most effective when parents or guardians:

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for Kumon
  • Praise their child's achievements every day
  • Emphasise their child's good qualities
  • Encourage their child to do his/her best and to work at their own pace
  • Make homework and home correction a number one priority
  • Have long-range and long-term goals for their child
  • Present a united front in support of Kumon study
  • Make a long-term commitment to Kumon in order to develop their child's potential fully

Please bear in mind that the class time is the student's time.  It is not for discussing an individual child's progress. My prime responsibility is towards my students. If you wish to discuss your child's progress please feel free to call me on 01229 837008.
