Welcome to the Kumon Birkdale Study Centre which was opened in August 2004, by Janet Lythgoe, a secondary maths teacher with over 20 years' teaching experience.
The Birkdale study centre is a growing class catering for a range of abilities and ages. At present students' ages range from 5 to 13 years old. The majority of students live in the Birkdale and Ainsdale areas of Southport and most attend local primary or secondary schools.
Kumon's programmes provide long-term benefits which give students the best chance of succeeding in school and adult life.
