Welcome to the Blaby Kumon centre in Leicester, where we aim to support each and every child to reach their full potential, by providing students with a long term focus and the self assurance and transferable self learning skills to realise their full potential in school and life.

Many of our students live in the local community and attend local schools within the area. At present our students range from pre schoolers to sixth formers. My youngest student is currently 4 years old and is studying both programmes. My oldest student is 14 years old and has been with Kumon for 5 years. Many of my students soon discover the benefits of the Kumon way in school and therefore many stay for several years on the programme.

Each and every student has their own ability and Kumon can help students with their self esteem to create students with a positive attitude to learning. My centre is located in the Blaby and District social centre, in the hall which is light, spacious and warm. There is a parents' waiting area situated adjacent to the study area where parents can wait and meet and chat quietly to other Kumon parents.

Kumon's long term focus provides students with the self learning skills to realise their full potential throughout school and life. Kumon study programmes provide our students with the following skills among many

  • Self learning
  • Self discipline
  • Time management
  • Independence and learning

The Blaby Kumon centre is fast becoming an essential part of the community as more and more families experience positive results of just a small amount of study each day.
